Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah, has broken the Premier League record for League goals scored in a single season.

Salah’s first half strike for Liverpool in their clash against Brighton was the 32nd for the Egyptian and it ensured that he became the first player to score the highest amount of goal in a 38 games English season.

Before the record breaking strike by Salah, Alan Shearer, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez have both scored 31 goals respectively.

Alan Shearer was the first among the record holder to congratulate Salah on his record breaking feat via a tweet which reads:

This season, Mohamed Salah has been impressive for the Reds scoring 43 goals in all competitions, and his superb form has caught the attention of big clubs in Europe.
