Idahosa faults looters’ list, says names of military, APC members missing
Former member of the Federal House of Representatives, Mr West Idahosa, has faulted the controversial list of treasury looters released by the Federal Government.
Idahosa speaking with Channels TV called on the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to be fair in the anti-corruption war.
He faulted Lai Mohammed for failing to reflect the names of the All Progressives Congress, APC, members who served in previous PDP administrations, as well as former military personnel standing trial for corruption and financial crime.
Idahosa said “I would have expected that in good conscience, that list should have at least shown a couple of people outside the Peoples Democratic Party.
“There are people who are in the military who are standing trial in this country who have volunteered some amount of money back in the coffers of the government.
“There are others who are civil servants, there are many others who were appointees in public office and there are some who are in the All Progressives Congress (APC) who were also in the PDP’s government, none of those appeared on the list.
“Your teaser cannot be largely pointed in one direction. It must be taken very seriously and that is why I said that government must get it right and approach corruption in a manner that is very serious, so that all and sundry will understand that this government means business and everyone will learn to understand that corruption is a monster and once you are on its way, you are definitely going to be an enemy of the government.”Tags: APC, PDP
